1973 Chevrolet Nova

For sale is a 1973 Chevrolet Nova SS from the Willow Run plant with only 29,018 miles on it. Our Chevrolet Nova is a Texas vehicle, showing zero rust, a Chevy 350 under the hood, and being the Custom trim, of which 35,542 were produced, out of the total 369,511 for the year. The Custom trim features chrome additions to the vehicle, including the drip rails and grille. Our car takes Custom to the next level: the reason for the low mileage on the vehicle is quite simple; the car used to be a drag racing machine! The prior owner had a Chevy 454 under the hood, which had Nitrous hookups and was pulling some serious power. To increase structural rigidity, the prior owner had a tastefully done roll cage installed. Unlike most roll cages, this one does not impede the exit or entrance of the vehicle while still giving it a more rigid frame. To top it off, the vehicle comes with 5-point harness Simpson racing seat belts on some Jazz racing seats, a B&M shifter, plus a Chevy emblem cut into the rear-seat delete carpet, and an array of modern gauges to monitor various temperatures and boost. Prior to the sale, the seller had put the original 350 back in the car to retain his racing motor. Since acquiring the vehicle, we’ve done some more under-the-hood maintenance, which includes spark plugs, points, condenser, wires, a carb adjustment, and setting the timing. The vehicle now starts on the first turn of the key and drives like a new car. We’ve also put the alignment to factory spec and re-clocked the steering wheel. The car does retain a nitrous tank in the trunk if the next owner wants to add a little “go-fast” juice back to the car, as the lines are still run all the way to the engine bay.
